One of the most beautiful towns in eastern Bohemia. Where the Přemysl princes´castle stood hundert years ago, a Renaissance chateau with beautiful arcades was built in 1560-69. At the beginning of the 18th century, it was rebuilt in the baroque style by G. B. Alliprandi. In the chateau there is a unique picture gallery with Italian sixteenth and eighteenth century painting exhibits, a unique collection of hunting trophies and weapons. Apart from that, there is a modern painting exhibition in the chateau´s riding hall.
